About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Install4U website (install-4u.com) and the services we provide — including security camera, networking and WiFi, TV, and audio/visual installation work, as well as Watch4U maintenance plans. By using the website, accepting a quote, or signing up for a plan, you agree to these terms. The specific terms for your project or plan are presented in your written quote or service agreement and form part of that agreement.

Our services

Install4U designs, installs, and maintains low-voltage network and security systems for residential and commercial clients. Scope, equipment, pricing, and timelines for any installation are defined in the written quote we provide. Work begins once the quote is accepted and any required deposit is received.

Quotes & proposals

Quotes are based on the information available at the time and on a reasonable site assessment. If conditions on site differ materially from what was described — for example, hidden wiring obstacles, inadequate existing infrastructure, or added scope — we will discuss any change in cost with you before proceeding. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Watch4U service plans

Watch4U plans are professional security system maintenance and oversight services. The full scope, included services, exclusions, and conditions of each plan are described in the plan-specific terms presented at signup. Service plans are not insurance and do not guarantee against theft, vandalism, injury, loss, business interruption, or failure of a system to capture every event.

Eligibility & service area

Installation and service plans are available to clients within Install4U’s standard service area (Southern California). Locations outside the standard service area may be subject to additional travel charges. We reserve the right to assess existing systems before accepting them onto a Watch4U service plan.

Billing and payment

Installation work is billed as set out in your quote — typically a deposit on acceptance and the balance on completion. Annual prepaid Watch4U plans are billed in full upon acceptance; month-to-month plans are billed in advance and recur monthly until canceled. If payment fails or becomes overdue, work or plan benefits may be paused until the account is brought current.

Cancellation

Month-to-month Watch4U plans may be canceled with at least three business days’ written notice prior to the next billing date. Annual prepaid plans are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing. Install4U may discontinue a plan with 30 days’ written notice; in that case, a prorated refund of any prepaid balance will be issued. Cancellation of installation work already in progress is handled per the terms of your quote.

Workmanship & warranties

We stand behind our installation workmanship. Equipment we supply is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty; we will help facilitate warranty claims where applicable. Service calls beyond the included scope of a Watch4U plan are billed at the member labor rate of $145/hour; standard (non-member) labor is $195/hour. Trip charges may apply outside the waived service area for your tier.

Limitation of liability

Our services are intended to support system reliability and provide documented professional installation and oversight. We are not responsible for loss of footage, data, or settings caused by factors outside our direct control — including hardware failure, storage limitations, power or network interruption, or third-party software issues — except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Intellectual property

The content of this website, including the Install4U and Watch4U brands, the design, and the written materials, is the property of Install4U LLC. You may share links to the site, but you may not copy or republish the content without permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms over time. Continued use of the website or our services after updates means you accept the revised terms.
