We test with proper equipment and find the actual cause, not just the symptom — so it gets fixed once, and stays fixed.

For punch lists, “look at everything” visits, and open-ended commercial work, we bill time and materials: $195/hour with a two-hour minimum ($390), in 30-minute increments after that. Parts and equipment are quoted to you before we install anything, and you get an itemized invoice showing where every hour went. If partway through it’s clear the job is bigger than expected, we stop and talk to you before continuing — you’ll never open a surprise total.
First visit? A one-time $50 account setup builds your client file: every device we touch documented — make, model, serial, location — photos of your equipment and panels, and your logins stored in an encrypted vault, never on paper or spreadsheets. Any future visit starts with answers instead of an hour of detective work; the fee typically pays for itself on your second call.

Fair questions.
That’s one hour at our standard rate — and we waive our usual two-hour minimum for diagnostic visits. It’s a real diagnosis with proper test equipment, not swapping parts and hoping. And the full $195 comes off the moment you approve the repair — it only costs you anything if you take the answer and don’t hire us. Even then, you know exactly what’s wrong.
Yes — for new installations. A diagnostic visit is different: it’s diagnosing a system that’s misbehaving, which is real technical work. And it’s effectively free too, as long as we do the repair — the $195 is credited in full.
We could throw out a number, but without seeing the system we’d have to protect ourselves and quote the worst case. The diagnostic gets you a real price — usually better than a phone guess would have been.
The quote spells out exactly what you’re getting, and our labor is warrantied for a full year. If we get in there and find the problem is actually something different, we stop and re-quote before touching anything — you never pay for work you didn’t approve.
